I need some recipes

Ok loyal readers—I need your help!

While I'm very proud of the fact that I'm able to churn out delicious meals like this one...

...my skills are very limited. Pretty much every night I have to ask myself, "What's for dinner tonight: spaghetti or mac 'n' cheese?" Kind of pathetic...

So, help a brotha' out! Help me diversify my easy dinner portfolio! In the comments, post your favorite EASY (and I mean easy) dinner recipe. Break it down for me, because if you leave any loopholes, I'll surely find a way to screw it up...

How easy do you want? There are tons of things that you can make that require little to no cooking skills. Anybody can whip out a tasty loaded baked potato. You can even buy bacon pre-cooked if you don't want to fry it.

In college, I also lived off of bean burritos. All you need are tortillas, refried beans, cheese, salsa, and sour cream and then zap in in the microwave.

Do you have a crock pot? You can make super-easy stuff with one of those.

My favorite recipe website is allrecipes.com

Ok, I'm going to go find some actual recipes for you now...

Easy BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients:
*1 pkg boneless, skinless country style pork ribs.
* 1 bottle of your fave bbq sauce

Directions:
*Put the rib in a pot and put enough water in the pan to cover the ribs.
*Put the stove on high
*Once is comes to a full boil, turn it down so that it just simmers. (little bubbles) Usually that would be just above low.
*Cover and let it simmer for 1.5-2 hours. When it's done, it will fall apart easily if you stick a fork in it.
*Remove from water and separate the slimy fat from the meat
*Put the meat in a baking dish and cover it with BBQ sauce
*Bake covered with tin foil at 375 for 1/2 hour.

Sometimes I boil the meat the night before and then bake in the next day when I'm ready to eat it. You will need to bake it approx 15 minutes longer because it will come out of the fridge cold.

This is good with potatoes, and I often eat the leftovers on buns. It also freezes well!

Awesome, thanks! I don't have a pot big enough for ribs (and there are many awesome BBQ places right around here).

But bean burritos and baked potatoes...good call!

"Down mexico waaay..."

I got one for you.

tacos.

fry some ground beef in a pan till its brown (browning!), add a little water and pre-packed taco seasoning (available in the aisian/hispanic aisle --why they're always together I'll never understand--in your supermarket).
The rest is easy, put it in the taco shell...and add whatever you want!
cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.

Don't forget to bake the taco shells in the oven, or microwave flour tortillas for 15 seconds-ish. :)

C'mon peeps - he needs more! This is husband training here!

Conor,
I did some searching and found this. Most of these look pretty easy. Poke around here until something grabs you and just make it. Practice (and imagination) will work wonders!

I had this chili last weekend and it was pretty good and good for you. Corn bread goes nicely with it.

1 large (28 oz) can whole tomatoes (undrained)
1 large can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes (undrained)
1 can (15 oz) Great Northern (white) beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can (15 oz) Pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can (15 oz) black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 small can (4.5 oz) chopped green chillies (undrained)
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp brown sugar

I put the tomatos into the blender so that it would be a denser soup, instead of broth-y with chunks of tomatoes. I also pureed some of each kind of bean with the tomatoes to add some creamy-ness to the broth. Also, if you wanted to thicken it up a bit more, you could add a roux to it (you know, equal parts room temperature butter and flour) which would thicken the broth a little. I also though it would be good to add some chicken cooked with fajita spices maybe...

Mix all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 10 minutes.

Enjoy!

Ok, I've got a good one.

Grab your shoes and put them on. Go to the car. Unlock Gary and get in the drivers seat. Turn on the ignition and drive to Boston Market. Order a turkey dinner with corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn bread, and think of me because there aren't any here is Warshington. Enjoy immensely. Drive back home and rub your belly.

Let me know how it turns out!

Sandwiches!! Easy and delicious. Heat 'em up on a george foreman and you got yourself a panini.

Now, for what i came to post-a delightful story about a Guiness Record attempt...I hope yours goes better:

Crazed Mob Eats Sandwich

Over 1,000 volunteers spent the past two days in Tehran building the world’s long sandwich—a 1,500-meter ostrich-meat hoagie that would beat the previous record of 1,378 meters set in Italy in May. One problem: a hungry mob destroyed the sandwich before the Guinness representatives had a chance to measure it. The entire sandwich was said to have been eaten within a few minutes. Organizers hope that video and photographic evidence of the sandwich will allow them to still claim the record.

Seriously...that stuff takes time, just stick to the cheese balls, Golden Grahams, PB slices and small quantities of prune juice (for regularity), this will save more time for TV, Wii, XBOX, sports, sleep and blogging.
