I know I gave up the best player in the deal, so it was a hard trade to make. But Stahl and Snyder are no slouches—ranking 8th and 18th, respectively, in last season's NL Prospect Rankings. While both are on the wrong side of the defensive spectrum (Snyder can't really catch and Stahl is a first baseman) with old-player skills, they sure can hit. Snyder is going to max out at about 350 plate appearances because he has durability issues, but he'll still make an impact. Plus, Miller is a quality bullpen arm—something my team sorely lacks. With Brent O'Donnell wrapped up for a few more years, I felt that Choi was expendable and I think I got three Major Leaguers in return.

I'm LOVING this post. I agree, Snyder can't catch at all, but I still think you made the right decision.

Rick Bean's rule of thumb: never trade an asian with a rockin' Giambi mustache. Big mistake buddy.

Love, Rick

One more thing...you failed to mention some trades that you almost made. That is equally as fascinating, if not more, than actual trades you have made.

This is the result of the trade I almost made. We kept talking and I ended up getting a better return.

Conor - I hate to break it to you, but I don't think Anna Marie was ACTUALLY concerned. And I'm going to have to agree with Rick on this one. Although I find it hard to believe that that last guy is asian, his mustachio was too good to pass along to someone else.

All the talk about mustaches is healthy, and encouraged! But is this really a Fantasy Fantasy Team? No one cares about a "Real" Fantasy Team! What does that say about us? xxoo

Yeah, it's a fantasy fantasy team. It's like a video game, except I'm not really playing — the games are simulated. I'm just the GM, so I'm in charge of putting teams together for a franchise and all of its minor-league affiliates. It's really in-depth and surely makes me a huge baseball nerd (as if that was in question) because it's basically baseball-style Dungeons & Dragons.
